The Wild Center
The Wild Center, and its new Wild Walk—an elevated trail across the treetops—is an all-day attraction, including 81-acres of outdoors, a 54,000-square-foot museum with movies and live animals, guided canoe paddles, and hands-on everything.
EXHIBITS
In the Hall of the Adirondacks, you can spend time with a myriad fish, turtles, and other animal and plant species, and get a deeper understanding and appreciation of the inner workings of nature in this unique region.
CAFE AND STORE
The Wild Supply Co. is worth its own visit, with quality gear, beautiful decorative items for the home and garden, and exclusive Wild Center merchandise. You can also shop online. Relax with a snack or lunch from the Waterside Cafe.
WILD WALK
Wander up a trail of bridges to the treetops of the Adirondack forest. Explore a four-story twig tree house filled with animal tales, hang out high above the ground on a giant spider’s web or perch in a full-sized bald eagle’s nest high over the forest. Wild Walk gives you new and lasting perspective on the wild world.
OUTSIDE
A canoe trip on the Raquette Riverbrings you even closer to the real nature of the Adirondacks.
