Painted Trillium
Trillium undulatum, the painted trillium, is a wildflower of the genus trillium found from Ontario in the north to northern Georgia in the south and from Michigan in the west to Nova Scotia in the east. More from Wikipedia
Squirrel corn has small yellow clustered bulblets (looking roughly like kernels of corn), finely dissected leaves, and white heart-shaped flowers. It is a spring ephemeral, leafing out and flowering in spring and going dormant in summer.
Carolina Springbeauty (Claytonia caroliniana) is a native wildflower that produces small pink flowers in early spring. It grows in forests and forest edges in deep rich mesic soils in the Adirondack Park in upstate New York.
